Watts Hospital entrance.

NCSSM was built on the site of the old Watts Hospital, founded 1908. Many of its buildings were renovated and repurposed for school use. (The Ground Reynolds dormitories used to be the morgue, a fact that still unsettles many of the girls resident there.) The entrance to the main building was left intact as a marker of its history.
